A Summer afternoon

DucksText

The ducks moved on.

I stayed.

Sluggish with champagne,

Emptied from a plastic cup.

Muddied.

While sky, clear blue,

Washed behind,

Whispering leaves.

Solidly mute.

Constant,

Ha ha, for now!

Smeared perfection.

Two tiny clouds,

Daring to exist.
